The Story Behind Carrie on Accessibility
I was born with Aniridia Syndrome – a genetic condition where the iris is underdeveloped and in my family’s case, it’s hereditary. My son, PJ, also inherited Aniridia.
Accessibility and technology have always been so incredibly important in our lives and in the lives of many in our community. My mission is to make the world a more accessible through advocacy and working together.
Support & Shop!
What I do wouldn’t be possible without your help! Carrie on Accessibility (CoA) merch and product lists are under development, but one of the best ways to support is to follow all the CoA social media platforms and share content.
Also, you can promote CoA Review and forward the mission of making products and services more accessible, especially to those who are blind and visually impaired!
Also, do you have a story to tell about how you’ve overcome challenges with blindness or have some tutorials or reviews on assistive technology? Have you found a useful product for the blind and visually impaired or know of a program that could benefit the community? Send any ideas, resources or submit articles that you think would be a valuable addition to the CoA website!
Carrie on Accessibility (CoA) Review
Whether you’re a content creator, small business owner, startup, or corporation, CoA Review can help your product or service become more accessible for your customers.
Gain authentic insights for accessibility from an experienced user and tester of both screen magnification and screen readers.

Resources for the Blind and Visually Impaired
Blindness or low vision can be a challenge, but if there are so many resources, tools, communities, products, and services that can help us be more independent.
CoA has a collection of resources that you and browse! There are blind organizations, technology tutorials, Facebook groups, email groups and more.
This is a community driven effort, so if you know of any resources or anything you’d like to share that has been valuable to you or someone you know who is blind or visually impaired, share the resource through an email!
